CRIME was at its lowest in Seaton for seven years last month, according to police figures.

CRIME was at its lowest in Seaton for seven years last month, according to police figures.

The town's beat manager, Pc Roy Hutter, reported 12 crimes for January.

The incidents included three thefts of plant pots. The offender was caught and dealt with - admitting it was a drunken prank.

Other crimes included a public order offence outside the Grove night club, a drunk and disorderly incident and an attempted burglary in Summersby Close.

Pc Hutter said: "I am very pleased with the low crime figures for January."

Residents can discuss issues with officers on Saturday, March 20, from 10am to 2pm, at the town's police station, in Queen Street.
