Defendant denies the charge at Exeter Crown Court
A 53-year-old Seaton man has denied sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in East Devon.
Yuen Terence Lai, of Primrose Way, pleaded not guilty to a single count of sexually assaulting a child when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court.
He is alleged to have touched the girl sexually in July last year, when she was aged 12.
Judge Geoffrey Mercer, QC, adjourned the case for trial and released Lai on bail.
