A SEATON town councillor has been shortlisted for a major award after penning a romantic novel, Love Engineered. Jenna Dawlish, aka Julia Roebuck, is one of the nominees for the Joan Hessayon New Writers' Scheme award, organised by the Romantic Novelists' Association. Set partly in the Axe Valley, Love Engineered tells the story of Charles Lucas - too busy for love - who meets a Louise Thomas, who intrigues him like no one before. But is Louise ready for love?Julia said: "I'm delighted and exited at being shortlisted for such a respected award. The RNA has helped me nurture a talent I didn't realise I had until I was 30 years old and I'm very grateful to them for all their help."Julia has another book out later in the year, partly based in Victorian Seaton.
