Royal British Legion officials say it is an “exceptional amount” in difficult times

SEATON Poppy Appeal has raised a bumper 6,806 this year.

Organisers say it is an “exceptional amount” in difficult times.

Royal British Legion officials this week thanked the army of volunteers who distributed the collection boxes and who stood patiently to receive the money over the two weeks.

They also praised the people who helped collect and count all the money and the businesses who, once again, gave their full support, especially the Co-op for allowing the RBL to collect cash there and those who decorated their windows for the fortnight.
