Event makes a record profit of more than £3,500
Seaton Primary School’s summer fete was a sizzling record-breaker.
Sunshine brought out the crowds and the popular annual event, organised by the PTA, raised more than £3,500 – the best total ever.
The money will enable the support group to provide many extra resources for the pupils in the coming academic year.
The fun-packed day included gladiator duels, bouncy castles, ‘Soak The Teacher’, children’s craft activities, Year 6 Games, glitter tattoos and home baked cakes, while the wood fired pizza oven and barbecues were kept sizzling throughout the afternoon.
Lucky raffle winners walked away with some amazing prizes donated by local companies such as Bicton Park and Escott.
Jess Brooks, chairman of the PTA said: “The summer fete is such a fantastic and fun day out for all the family, and brings our whole local community together. The programme we printed this year showed the amazing amount of local businesses that are involved and we are really grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success from businesses to parents, teachers and the children themselves.”
The summer fete is one of the main fundraising activities organised by Seaton Primary PTA.
Seaton Primary school is an Ofsted rated ‘outstanding’ school, and caters for over 360 pupils in the local area.
