Disabled veteran is given a guard of honour as he visits the town

A disabled ex soldier stopped off in Seaton on the latest leg of his epic fundraising journey.

Two years ago Mark Newton set off on his mobility scooter, towing a cart, to travel the complete coastline of Britain, including the islands, completing the 12,186 miles in 596 days. On the way he raised money for the Royal British Legion, RNLI and Help for Heroes.

Mark is now visiting every war grave and war memorial in the country. He is still travelling on his mobility scooter, raising funds for his charities. Last week he arrived in Windsor Gardens, Seaton, where he was given an honour guard by Royal British Legion members.
