Pair dedicated their sponsored run to former RBL stalwart Ken Johnson

TWO fleet-footed Seaton women have given the Royal British Legion’s vital work an £800 boost .

Sisters Major Jodie Kennedy Smith, 40, of the Royal Logistics Corps, and Zenophy Smith, 37, who works at Ceramtec, Colyton, raised the money by taking part in the BUPA 10-mile run last month.

They dedicated their efforts to the late Ken Johnson, who was membership secretary of the Seaton Branch of the Royal British Legion.

The pair, who had Ken’s name on the back of their shirts, came in about half way down the field.

Jodie and Zeni went to the Seaton Primary School and their parents - Merryn and Doug, still live in the town.
