Axe Valley Community College sixth formers selected to take part in for philosophy, politics and economics programme
Three sixth form students at The Axe Valley Community College (TAVCC) have won coveted places on an Exeter University course.
Tom Broderick, Brad Burraston and Mikey Rose, all from Seaton, were chosen to take part in the Introduction to PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) programme.
The trio will start with a four-day residential summer school, where they can consider studying either the combined PPE programme or any one of the three disciplines. The experience will not only be a plus mark for their university application but should also be an enjoyable experience, say teachers.
Darren Holland, assistant head at TAVCC, added: βIt is a wonderful opportunity being given to our students from one of our top 10 university partners.β
