SEATON and District Twinning Association representatives travelled to France for a 20th anniversary celebration.Seaton's twin is the French town of Thury-Harcourt, which is also twinned with the German town of Heimbuchenthal.The French invited the Seaton group to join them and mark their 20 year union with the Bavarian town. Clare and Graham Jones of the Seaton Association attended the four day visit. The couple did sightseeing in Calbourg and the river Orne and took part in cider tasting. They also enjoyed a celebratory dinner, folk dance and an exchange of gifts between the towns.Thury-Harcourt mayor Paul Chandelier was presented with wine from a Devon vineyard by Mr Jones on behalf of Seaton Town Council.The French group will visit Seaton in August.
