A SEATON woman is urging people to collect shoe boxes for charity this Christmas.

Pamela Lucas, of Scalwell Lane, said the boxes - filled with useful and playful things and wrapped up - could help brighten up Christmas for some of the world's poorest children.

She said these are things 'to delight the heart of destitute children'.

The age range is two to four, five to nine, and 10 to 14.

Boxes, which will go to children in caught in the midst of wars, natural disasters and extreme poverty, can be bought to Pamela between October 10 and November 10.
