Second blaze at Heathpark

JOGGER Andy Rhode was out for a run in Honiton last Sunday evening when he captured these pictures of fire crews tackling a blaze at Heathpark Industrial Estate.Just weeks after an arson attack on a vehicle parked in Gloucester Crescent, firefighters were at the scene again - this time to deal with a more major incident, involving five cars and three vans.Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received several calls reporting a blaze at the site at 6.22pm. Two fire appliances from Honiton were sent to the scene. Award winning fireman Richard Stanbury, 47, was the watch commander in charge at the scene.A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival, crews found five cars and three vans were involved in a fire, with six of the vehicles being well alight."The blaze was tackled using two hosereels and a winch."Mr Rhode's pictures were taken at 6.30pm.
