HONITON Town Council will not commit itself to paying for repairs to the 'crystal stream'.

HONITON Town Council will not commit itself to paying for repairs to the 'crystal stream'.The historic feature of the town centre could, however, one day boast running water again - if funding can be secured from an organisation such as the Heritage Lottery Fund.Councillor Roy Coombs urged the council to bite the bullet and precept for essential repairs so the project could be completed in phases.Instead, the council agreed to precept £300 to cover the cost of a second survey on the water channel.
