Councillor David Foster says he is looking forward to another term in office.

One of Honiton’s youngest mayors has been re-elected for a second term.

Councillor David Foster was elected during a meeting of Honiton Town Council on Monday night.

He said: “I am really pleased and honoured once again to be re-elected.

“I have really enjoyed the past 12 months and am excited and thoroughly looking forward to the months ahead.

“I want to thank all the councillors for their hard work and dedication.”

Councillor Peter Halse was re-elected as deputy mayor.

A mayor making ceremony is being held next Monday at the St Rita’s Centre.
