AFTER warning residents to lock doors and windows, day and night, following a spate of house burglaries, detectives in Honiton are now urging people to secure cars and garages.
DC Amanda Rowe, of Honiton CID, says precautions should be taken even when people are at home.
She is particularly warning people not to leave valuables on display in vehicles.
Handbags and mobile phones are currently being stolen from the first floors of unlocked premises and from cars.
