HONITON Senior Council is sending a message to statutory care providers - "Don't cut services!"
The council's secretary, Tony Simpson, told the Midweek Herald: "We need decent diagnostic and care services locally, and we shall be watching developments at The Bungalow and the dementia care strategy very carefully.
"We must ensure Honiton gets its share of the resources available and there are no cuts in this vital work.
"Volunteers, carers and our community must be seen as a part of a wider structure of care and treatment if we are to tackle the growing challenge of dementia- related needs in the Honiton area.
