Shed fire in Axminster

Firefighters called to the incident this morning (Monday).

A shed was destroyed during a blaze in Axminster.

Firefighters from the town were called to the incident in Cridlake this morning (Monday) at 3.51am.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews found a garden shed well alight, with the fire spreading to an adjoining fence and greenhouse.”

One hose reel jet, small tools and a thermal imaging camera were used to extinguish the fire.

The spokesman added: “The shed, fence and green house were all completely destroyed.”
