TEN sheep were killed following a dog attack at Shute overnight on Tuesday, September 15.

TEN sheep were killed following a dog attack at Shute overnight on Tuesday, September 15.

Police said two of the animals were killed outright and eight others - which had 'horrific' facial injuries - had to be put down.

A police spokesman said: "Please can farmers and members of the public be vigilant and report any sightings of stray or out-of-control dogs to the police.

"And dog owners, please be responsible and control your dogs when around livestock.
