Village pre school raises funds for Children in Need
LITTLE Acorns Pre-School spent the week raising money for Children in Need, sticking pennies to their own Pudsey Bear, wearing fancy dress and having spotty face paints done. The staff even wore their spotty pyjamas to school!
Leader Michele Young said: “The children have had a lot of fun. We have talked about how their money will help others less fortunate than them and they were all eager to bring their own pennies in from home.”
The pre-school, based at Shute Community Primary School, raised 29.82 – but after announcing the total to families they received an anonymous donation, doubling this to 59.64.
Michele said: “I can’t believe our families have managed to do this for Children in Need, it is amazing that they have done this, I am so proud of our ‘Little Acorns’”.
Emma, aged 4, said: “Pudsey’s going to give the pennies to other children to help them”
