A COMPANY based in the Axe Valley transported a mobility scooter over 200 miles to a one-legged pensioner who was recovering from an amputation.SAK Logistics, of Shute, which distributes the Midweek Herald and sister titles, came to the rescue after 69-year-old Brian William's scooter was stolen.The scooter, described as the mobility vehicle equivalent of a Rolls-Royce car, was kindly donated by George Martin, a 66-year-old from Middlesex who read of the heart-rending story in May.A delighted Brian said: "It's great. I would like to thank George and SAK for this wonderful gesture. There are some nice people in the world after all.
