Sidmouth’s female choir hopes to boost number of singers
SINGERS, particularly altos, are needed to join Sidmouth’s Cameo Singers.
The female choir, under the musical direction of Andrew Downie, rehearses on Wednesday mornings at St Francis church hall, Woolbrook, currently has 20 members and is looking for more.
Secretary, Esther Pearce, said: “We are especially looking for alto voices, but would also welcome soprano singers. We are also looking to increase the number of concerts we perform this year and would love to hear from anyone who would like us to put on a concert for them.”
Proceeds from the Cameo Singers’ concerts go to various charities, the most recent being Sidmouth Hospiscare.
