NON illuminated signs outside the entrance to Colour Wheel Nurseries at Offwell are not intrusive and a great improvement on previous hoardings. That's what members of Honiton Town Council's planning committee agreed when faced with plans for the signs' retention.Mrs L Bartrop is seeking permission from East Devon District Council to regularise signage at the site.Councillors heard the entrance is easy to miss, because it can be mistaken for the drive of a private residence."They are trying to run a business and the signs are a great improvement on the ones there a few years ago," said Councillor Sally Casson.Councillor Liz Tirard, vice chairman of the committee, added: "They are not intrusive in any way."The committee recommended Mrs Bartrop's plan for approval.
