Slight increase in recorded crimes in Honiton

Between Monday, January 11 and Sunday, February 7, there was 26 recorded offences - one more than for the same period last year.
The amount of crimes recorded in Honiton has risen by one looking at year-on-year statistics.
Between Monday, January 11 and Sunday, February 7, there was 26 recorded offences - one more than for the same period last year.
Recorded incidents included one arson, one assault resulting in actual bodily hard, one breach of a criminal behaviour order and one burglary.
There were also five common assaults recorded, two communications act offences, one drink driving incident and one sexual offence. The remaining incidents included four criminal damage offences - one to a dwelling, one to a vehicle and two other - as well as two public order offences and seven thefts (one of motor vehicle, one from a shop, and three other).

Honiton PCSO Steve Mingo said: “Once again crime levels in Honiton town centre haven’t changed much, which is encouraging.
“However, it is also the time of year when officers will be dealing a variety of other incidents including road traffic collisions and weather related incidents as well as day to day enquiries.”
