More than £350 has been raised from Combe Raleigh’s annual snowdrop tea.
The event was held on Valentine’s Day (February 14) and saw around 90 people attend.
The money will split between St Nicholas Church in the village, and the Combe Raleigh Bell Project, which has so far raised £57,000 towards its final target of £75,000.
The money is being sought to increase the existing ring of three bells at St Nicholas’ Church to six.
Trevor Hitchcock, co-organiser of the snowdrop tea, said: “Numbers were down this year but it was definitely a good afternoon, with more than 1,500 snowdrops sold on the day.
“The reason we think numbers were down was because of the cold weather, rugby on the television and people out celebrating Valentine’s Day.”
People who attended the snowdrop tea enjoyed viewing snowdrops in the churchyard and snacked on hot drinks and cake in the church.
Mr Hitchcock added: “We are already planning next year’s event, and we have a concert coming up soon.”
