South Western Railway has unveiled a new rewards programme, offering customers discounts on local attractions across the region when purchasing tickets directly from the SWR website.

The new scheme, SWR Rewards, is completely free to opt-in and will allow customers to receive over 120 discounts across more than 88 attractions located in the region served by SWR.

SWR said that it worked with local businesses across the region to create a rewards programme that is reflective of the interests of its customers.

From discounts on West End shows to money off your final bill at restaurants and bars, the scheme offers exclusive deals every time customers book a journey with SWR.

Customers wishing to find out more about the awards on offer can do so at the SWR website.

Peter Williams, Commercial Director at South Western Railway, said: “Through the SWR Rewards scheme, we hope customers will be encouraged to visit many of the local attractions across our network.

“These rewards and offers do not just offer exclusive discounts, but also help support local businesses such as restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions off the back of what has been a difficult year for many.”

Operating over 1,500 services each weekday across the network, SWR employs more than 5,000 employees and provides commuter inter-urban, regional and long distance services to passengers in South West London and southern counties of England and Island Line services on the Isle of Wight, as well as providing connectivity to the ports and airports in the region.

As well as commuters and business travellers, SWR transports leisure travellers across the region, to many tourist and heritage sites, and the numerous major sporting and social events that take place along the route every year.
