COLYTON has been hit by a spate of crime in the run up to Christmas.

COLYTON has been hit by a spate of crime in the run up to Christmas.

Police said four sheds in the area had been broken into, with buildings in the Sidmouth Road area targeted overnight on December 3 and 4. Two quad bikes were also stolen from a farm near the A3052.

There have also been incidents of criminal damage and a total number of eight crimes have been reported so far this month.

Pc Steve Speariett said he believed the same offenders were responsible and said patrols in the area would be increased.
