In September, St John's School, is being extended to include a senior school, starting with Year 9. Exciting innovations are also in store for children in years 6-8 too, who will have the opportunity to participate in a wider programme with greater emphasis being placed on taking the curriculum beyond the classroom walls.

In order that parents can understand more about the exciting, new opportunities available for their children, St John's is holding its Spring Open Morning on Saturday, April 25, at 10am to 12.30pm.

The Open Morning is for parents of children of all ages, from those looking to enter the new Senior school, right through to children who are in the early years and are interested in finding out more about nursery and reception at St John's.

Headmistress Angela Parry-Davies says: "Holding the Open Morning on a Saturday means that the whole family can come and take part in some of the fun, organised activities we have planned. We have found that parents love speaking to our current pupils and also to the teachers, rather than just dipping in and out of classrooms while lessons are going on. This format of Open Day gives families the chance to come and see what it is that makes St John's so special.
