How upset I was last week. The exhaust fell off my car and needed removing from the rubber which held it onto the back of my vehicle. I managed, sat on the road, on the old A30, after a night shift, to cut it away with a Stanley knife. That was not the problem... It's just, of the two men who walked past, plus the scores who drove by, not one asked if I was alright. Surely, in Devon, we are not like the rest of the country, or are we? Ellen DownHoniton
