The cow may not have jumped over the moon, but it did travel as far as Bridport - before returning home to its local pub near Axminster.Shimmy, the he/she six feet statue cow, is now back at the Hunters Lodge Inn, on the A35, after a two month tour.Highways workers were amoo-sed to find the cow, who had been reported missing in the Herald two weeks ago, in a phone box.Dressed as a butler, the cow had obviously been partying hard and was recovered donned in a Guinness hat and flag. Shimmy was safe and well, apart from a broken horn.Neville Causey, of the Hunters Lodge Inn, said: "It would seem the grass wasn't greener on the other side. "We are all over the moon. Now we have to find a way to cement him to the ground. We've had several jokes come in and in all this doom and gloom we've had such a laugh."Dave and Mark, of Connect, spotted the spotty animal after reading about Shimmy's disappearance. They have been offered a steak meal as a reward.
