Staff and students from the Axe Valley Community College joined the community to celebrate Christmas.

The feast of festive music at The Minster Church included traditional carols and readings together with a cello ensemble playing ‘Walking in the Air’, the Jazz Group accompanied by soloist Jessica Hill singing ‘let it snow’ and a breath-taking rendition of ‘O Holy Night’ by Matilda Board.

There was also a fabulous solo by Ethan Huntley, accompanied by Arthur Doherty on the clarinet, the school’s rock band upped the tempo with Merry Christmas, while Special Time Around, composed and performed by Emily Manning and Jessica Boulton, reminded everyone of the message of Christmas, thinking of others and sharing.
