A CLUTCH of students from Honiton Community College received civic recognition for their outstanding achievements across a wide spectrum at Honiton Town Council's first meeting of 2008 on Monday night.In the presence of college principal Norman Tyson, parents and councillors, the following students received certificates and book tokens from the mayor, Councillor Vernon Whitlock: Caroline Hole, Katie Richards, Megan Grendon, Matthew Hammond, Jamie Donne-Davis, Luiza Rich, Thomas Clemo and Alexandra Gerred-Hart.Not present were Christopher Byford and Claire Baily.Councillor Whitlock said: "We are very proud of our schools and young people.
