THREE former Honiton Community College students are preparing to embark on a 300-mile walk around the Cornish coast.Matthew Hammond, 15, James Proctor, 16 and Matthew Hobday, 16, aim to complete the journey from Plymouth to Bude in just 13 days. They will set out from the Devon port on August 10 and hope to raise as much money as possible in sponsorship for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust."We will be camping along the route in a light-weight expedition tent," said Matthew Hammond."I suggested the charity, because it doesn't receive any public funding at all and relies entirely on donations."I saw the kind of service it provides while doing my Ten Tors training."In September, all three young men will continue their education - one in the sixth form at Honiton Community College, one in Taunton and the other in Exeter.Log on to website www.justgiving.com/walk300 to pledge sponsorship.
