Successful driving operation carried out in Dunkeswell

The crackdown was held on Monday, October 12 and in total, 33 vehicles were stop-checked.

More than 30 vehicles were stopped as part of an operation recently carried out by neighbourhood teams, the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) and HM Revenue and Customs.

The operation was held in Dunkeswell and Newton Poppleford on October 12.

In total, 33 vehicles were stop-checked, and two drivers were issued immediate notices by VOSA, and one delayed notice.

A male driver was arrested for a drink driving offence after providing a positive breath test at the road side, and one vehicle tested positive for red diesel.

Two tickets were also issued to drivers who were not wearing seat belts.
