Families recently enjoyed two fun workshops at Honiton’s Thelma Hulbert Gallery.

The summer sessions were hosted in the gallery’s new community garden.

Parents and their children were joined by artist Penny Evans, who helped them create a mini creature to take home. Penny said: “We had lots of fun! The children really enjoyed sawing up elder branches and even the younger ones made their own creatures.”

The gallery is currently gearing up for a Hayward Touring exhibition of screen-prints by Eduardo Paolozzi - part of a national tour.

The exhibition will be running from Saturday, September 10, to Saturday, October 8.

Running alongside this exhibition, in the gallery’s project space, will be a display of artworks inspired by Paolozzi created by adults attending ROC Creative Honiton - a developmental arts project supporting and involving people with learning disabilities.
