PERFORMANCES from Honiton Band and the Flaming Morris were among the highlights of Gittisham Fete, held last Saturday.

PERFORMANCES from Honiton Band and the Flaming Morris were among the highlights of Gittisham Fete, held last Saturday.Villagers wore Victorian costumes as they welcomed hundreds of visitors to the event.Organiser Jan Sutcliffe said: "It went extremely well. We were so blessed with the weather, because it was such a nice day."I think everyone enjoyed it and people were just terrific."An exhibition of Victorian Christening gowns was on display in the parish church during the fete.Proceeds from the day's events will go towards the church repair fund.Traditional fair games and a demonstration of how to make Honiton Lace proved popular, said Jan.
