A superb evening of supper and song was served up in Honiton which kicked off fundraising for the new day hospice in the town.

The event, hosted by Honiton Hospiscare Support Group, raised £1072.

Guests enjoyed a delicious meal in the Mackarness Hall, which was followed by a concert in St Paul’s performed by Nostalgia Incorporated.

Hospiscare has launched an appeal to raise £250,000 to complete the build, equip and run the new state of the art day hospice.

It is a partnership project with Hospiscare Sidmouth, Hospiscare Budleigh and Hospiscare Exmouth and Lympstone, who have donated substantially to the day hospice, which will serve East Devon.
