Support for hotel campaign

THE campaign to return Lyme’s Three Cups Hotel to its former glory has received a resounding vote of confidence.

More than 100 attended Friday’s public meeting to consider the future of the derelict town centre building and an overwhelming majority called for it to be reopened as a heritage hotel.

Afterwards, the chairman of the Save the Three Cups as a Hotel group, John Dover, said: “The meeting was an important milestone in our campaign.

“We needed to know what people really felt and what they wanted us to do.”
