Town council backs proposal in principle.
HONITON Town Council is likely to provide a venue for a public meeting to discuss making Honiton a ‘transition town’.
Councillors last week agreed in principle to support proposals for the venture, put to a policy committee meeting by Chris Davis and Sharon Pavey.
Honiton Community College has already indicated its support for a Sustainable Honiton project.
Bridport and Seaton are already involved in similar ventures, where traders are urged to sell local produce - to reduce use of fuel in transportation.
