A trio of local fundraisers took to the skies to raise much-needed funds for a Honiton-based charity set up to help fund research into devastating sight loss conditions.
Sophie Hudson, Timmy Bridgman and Stefan Ziemer took part in a skydive at Dunkeswell Airfield and raised a whopping £1,500 for See the Future.
See the Future helps to fund vital research into conditions causing sight loss and the money raised will go to non-Government funded eye care units to aid further research.
The charity’s founder Leanne Greengrass said: “If it wasn’t for local support, the charity wouldn’t be where it is today - every penny counts for charities.
“We are all in the same boat so when you have people come to you and say they want to raise money for your charity, words can’t describe the proud feeling you get.”
Leanne personally came to support Sophie, Timmy and Stefan when they did their jump last month
See the Future is looking for more willing volunteers to take part in a skydiving event on Sunday, August 3, for the charity. There are only 20 spaces available so anyone who fancies the challenge is urged to contact Leanne on 07934 690466 for more information.
