My first message is to all our good freinds who sent us cards and flowers by way of saying how sorry they were to hear of the burglary at our home (reported on the front page of the Midweek Herald two weeks ago). We are both still very angry and upset about the incident, and, I am sure that anybody who has gone through this knows how we feel, but it is reassuring to know that we have so many thoughtful, kind friends out there. To try to relieve my frustration and let some anger out, I feel I must send this second message to the perpetrator of this crime, who has nothing better to do than upset and disrupt innocent peoples' lives. If he or she has the wherewithall to break into our home and contend with a fairly large dog, would he or she be brave enough to come back and explain to me the reasons why it is okay to enter a person's private space uninvited and simply take anything and everything, with absolutely no regard for the value that may be placed upon it?Finally, thank you for conveying our message through your recent article. Sadly, there has been no response but that comes as no great surprise as it is obviously a waste of time appealing to these people's better nature as they don't have one.A SquireKings RoadHoniton
