Axminster and District Friends of Hospiscare held a tabletop sale on Saturday, February 7. The weather was terrible and a lot of people couldn't attend because they were snowed in. However, some very brave people were able to get out and supported our event - thanks to all who had tables and to people who came to buy. We managed to raise over £177. We are holding another tabletop sale at Kilmington on May 2 - make a date in your diary. I am sure the weather will be much better then. I would also like to say a big thank you to McKinlays estate agents for organising a coffee morning on February 10 and to all who attended. They managed to collect over £260. I am extremely pleased that McKinlays have chosen Hospiscare as their charity of the year. Can I also thank Beviss & Beckingsale for donating to Hospiscare half of their fee for any will made during January and February? All donations are very appreciated especially at such a difficult financial time. Liz Purvey Secretary Axminster & District Friends of Hospiscare
