Sweet date for Colyton's Sam

SEVENTEEN year-old Sam Letten, from Colyton, received a sweet surprise when she won a day at the Haribo factory along with X Factor stars Same Difference.

SEVENTEEN year-old Sam Letten, from Colyton, received a sweet surprise - when she won a day at the Haribo factory along with X Factor stars Same Difference.Sam was one of 10 people to be selected from hundreds of nationwide hopefuls to spend the day at the factory in Pontefract as an official sweet taster, after she designed a flower for the competition.Sam said: "I still can't believe I won the competition. I've been so excited about visiting the factory and seeing how all those yummy sweets are made."Katy Storey, from Haribo, said: "It was a hard job choosing from the hundreds of inventive designs we received for this competition, but Sam's creative design really stood out."Sam received a tour of the factory, learned the secrets of making the sweets, and was given a certificate, goody bag, and a year's free membership to the Haribo club.
