RNLI crews add some drama to lifeboat week after receiving reports of a swimmer in trouble.
Crews from Lyme Regis RNLI swung into action to rescue a swimmer in trouble - adding some real life drama to lifeboat week.
The lifeboat was launched yesterday (Tuesday) at 2.58pm after emergency calls were received from members of the public concerning a male swimmer in difficulty near Charmouth beach.
Crews made contact with a 40-year-old holidaymaker from London, who said he was not in difficulties but accepted the opportunity of a lift aboard the Pearl of Dorset, which took him close to the beach.
