INSPECTOR Tim Galbraith, of the Road Policing Unit, had every sympathy with an Awliscombe villager, who raised the thorny subject of heavy goods vehicles using the A373 from the M5 at Cullompton to Honiton. Responding during a meeting of a police authority liaison meeting in Honiton, Inspector Galbraith said: "I am aware of this. My mother-in-law lives in Dowell Street and she is constantly on to me.
