Celebrating the arts.
I’ve always been a bit arty-farty! Back in my teens, I discovered I love music, drama, drawing and painting, sculpture, dance and pretty much anything that celebrates and displays artistic talent.
I can’t do all these arty things, but I love seeing what a skilled artist can create with words, music, movement, pencil, paint or whatever. And I’m constantly discovering new ways in which people express creativity.
Take flower festivals, I mentioned before that I’m amazed by the gifted people who create works of art out of flowers and a few props; it’s like sculpture. (Which is why I’ll spend quite a lot of time at Yarcombe’s Flower Festival this weekend.)
There are so many ways in which people are creative – as a Christian that’s no surprise to me, because the Bible says we are all made in the image of God and God is the most creative of all.
