PROFESSIONALS from Tasmania were welcomed to Honiton last week by members of the town's Rotary Club.The group study exchange saw the adults staying in Honiton for the first week of a month-long stay in Devon.Their first port of call in the town was Allhallows Museum.Heather Sheppard, who works in trustees services in Tasmania, said a police officer, a financial planning adviser, an agricultural worker and a teacher formed the party of visitors."We are staying at the homes of local Rotarians, but have been matched up with people in our own industries as well, whom we will spend one day a week with," she told the Herald. "It's all about an exchange of ideas."Ms Sheppard said group members hoped to be able to promote Tasmania as a tourist destination while they were in Devon.Group study organiser Graham Godfrey and Rotarian Mike Huxtable accompanied the visitors on their trip to the museum before showing them around the town.
