Runner-up prize received.
STUDENTS from Colyton were given a taste of the justice system as part of a mock trial competition.
The sixth form students from Colyton Grammar School took part in the regional final of the Bar Mock Trial competition, which was held in Plymouth.
As part of the competition the students prepared two fictional cases involving an alleged car theft and actual bodily harm.
They had to act as defence and prosecution against other teams from across the region.
Gabrielle Olsen, the first prosecution lawyer, said: “It was a very rewarding experience that has been invaluable in helping me decide on a future career as a barrister.”
The school finished as runners up in the competition.
