A TAXI driver is looking for a new job – after he was caught driving more than twice over the legal limit in Colyton.
Philip Surtees, 52, from Clapps Lane, was stopped by police shortly after a concerned passenger raised the alarm on June 3. A breath test showed he had 82mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
Surtees has been disqualified for 20 months and fined 100. He told the Central Devon Magistrates’ Court he would be looking for work in another line of business.
