At the meeting held in Honiton last Thursday with John Hart (Leader, Devon County Council) in attendance, I put the question to him as to why we older people in Honiton cannot enjoy free swimming sessions at our local pool, the same as people in other parts of the coun try.

His reply, without hesitation, was: "It's down to your district councillors; they made the decision."

Another point l would like to make concerns your report on car parking fees. Perhaps Councillor Halse would tell me where you pay more than the 85p an hour. You get two hours for £1 in Exeter.
