Craig Billington from Arc Axminster expressed his gratitude to the Axminster Tesco community team for the generous donation of £210, which was collected as a result of their in-store library scheme.
Hellen Collins, the community liaison manager, said: “As Tesco we want to support the local community and Arc Axminster is a fine example of an organisation that we are very happy to support. The mental health of our community is paramount and Arc provides a unique service which as a charity is well worth supporting.”
Customers can drop off unwanted books in store and/or purchase used books from the bookcase. Donations such as these from Tesco will go towards funding the storage shed that is needed for the newly located Arc Charity shop on South Street.
