The recent row between Seaton Town Council and Tesco makes our town council seem a bit out of touch with local issues and opinion.

The recent row between Seaton Town Council and Tesco makes our town council seem a bit out of touch with local issues and opinion.

Ironically, the one company that can help our situation is Tesco. It can provide housing, jobs and facilities, yet the town council and a lot of people are opposed to them.

I would like Tesco to go ahead with its plans; it's the only place I can afford to shop and I may even be able to buy my own home through them.

I am fully prepared to put up with lorries - if it makes young families better off.

I hope the Tesco development goes ahead; it will be good for Seaton.
